ABOVE ONLY DEVOTIONAL JANUARY 7 2018 ENVISION A GREAT HARVEST OF SOULS
Date: Sunday, JANUARY 7
Topic: Envision A Great Harvest of Souls
Text: John 4:35-38 (New Living Translation)
You know the saying, ‘Four months between planting and harvest.’ But I say, wake up and look around. The fields are already ripe for harvest. The harvesters are paid good wages, and the fruit they harvest is people brought to eternal life. What joy awaits both the planter and the harvester alike! … ‘One plants and another harvests.’ … I sent you to harvest where you didn’t plant; others had already done the work, and now you will get to gather the harvest.”
One of the greatest things I hear God saying to us this year is that through us, there will be a very great harvest of souls. God wants us to believe it, see it, declare it, rejoice about it and start following His leading to experience the manifestation of it in our lives. God’s abundant grace is available for us to massively succeed in this glorious assignment and mission.
Remember that Jesus has sent us into the world the same way that the Father sent Him. He also assured us that we would do the works that He did and even greater works. In the same way Jesus experienced a great harvest of souls in his earthly ministry, you and I will also experience a great harvest of souls in our lives and ministry.
By the fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit, you are empowered to be an effective witness of Christ this year. You will receive divine strategies and signs and wonders will follow you as you move in faith and reach out to the lost this year. This year, your heart will burn with so much desire and passion to reach the lost that countless lives will be delivered from the kingdom of darkness and translated into the kingdom of God’s dear Son, Jesus Christ. Your words and the touch of your hands will carry unparalleled power. You will understand and preach the simple but powerful message of God’s great love through Christ more than ever before.
PRAYER FOCUS: Rejoice in God for empowering you abundantly to succeed in preaching the gospel and saving the lost this year.
