Topic: The Christ-Centered Life 6

Text:

2 Corinthians 3:18 (AMP), 1John 4:17b, 1Corinthians 6:17 (AMP)

And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit. *…as he is, so are we in this world. *But the person who is united to the Lord becomes one spirit with Him.

Message:

Because God has made you one with Christ, every time you see Christ in the word of God, you should see yourself also. Our first text above notes that when we see the glory of God as in a mirror, we are changed by the Spirit into Christ’s image. When you look in a mirror you see yourself, right? Beautiful one, God wants you to see yourself in Christ whenever you see Christ in the word of God. That is how God sees you and He is waiting for you to join Him to see yourself the way that He sees you. You are a new creature; old things have passed away and all things have become new, 2Cor.5:17. You are just like Christ. You are everything that Christ is. Where He is, you are also and what He has, you share with Him. Additionally, what He can do, you can do also.

You are complete in Him, Col.2:10. You are seated together with Him in Heavenly places (Eph.2:6), far above principalities and powers. The same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in you, Eph.1:19-20. God has ‘blessed’ you (past tense) with all spiritual blessings in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus, Eph.1:3. You are not cursed; you are not a sinner and you are not a failure. In Christ, you are righteous, you are fully blessed and you are too loaded to fail. You have put on Christ (Gal.3:27) and you can do all things through Christ that strengthens you, Phil.4:13! From today, you will never see yourself any less than God has made you in Christ. You will also help other believers to see themselves the way that God sees them in Christ. You are one with Christ and as He is, so are you in this world.

Prayer:

Thank God for making you just like Christ and receive His grace to continually see yourself that way.
